Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition coming to Android tablets November 28

While the release date for the Android version of Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition is still listed as “TBA” on the game’s website, a tweet by the game’s Creative Director, Trent Oster, says the game will hopefully be coming to Android tablets on November 28.
Until now, while we knew the game was coming, we didn’t know exactly when it would be released. Here is the entire tweet announcing the targeted release date:
The original version of Baldur’s Gate was released for PCs in 1998, and was so well received that more than a decade later, many gamers still refer to it as one of the best computer Role Playing Games ever made. Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition will allow gamers to revisit the old favorite, while adding new content like an entirely new adventure and a new party member. A full list of the new features follows:
  • New Adventure: The Black Pits
  • New Character: Dorn Il-Khan as an in-app purchase
  • New Character: Neera the Wild Mage as an in-app purchase
  • New Character: Rasaad yn Bashir
  • New Player Voice sets as an in-app purchase
  • New Player Portraits as an in-app purchase
  • Multiplayer support between all platforms
When it is released, Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition will cost $9.99 and will be available for tablets through the Google Play Store. The game will also be available for the iPad as well as Windows and Mac computers.
Are you looking forward to Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition? Do you think $9.99 is a fair price?
