IPSI firmware upgrade through CLI



Below is the procedure to upgrade the IPSI firmware through command line.
To upgrade ipsi firmware, run the below commands. Firmware file should be in /var/home/ftp/pub directory.
1) Upload the firmware file on IPSI board.
Syntax : loadipsi -c “IPSILOCATION” -f /var/home/ftp/pub/filename
Server1> loadipsi -c 1a -f /var/home/ftp/pub/TN2312BP-f39-sig.bin
Generating public/private dsa key pair.
Your identification has been saved in /tmp/authkey20999.
Your public key has been saved in /tmp/authkey20999.pub.
The key fingerprint is:
5d:96:4b:2f:3e:66:e0:ea:33:49:a9:9e:8d:06:80:e7 server1
Failed to add the host to the list of known hosts (/var/home/defty/.ssh/known_hosts).
sftp> put /var/home/ftp/pub/TN2312BP-f39-sig.bin i220024.f47
Uploading /var/home/ftp/pub/TN2312BP-f39-sig.bin to /i220024.f47
sftp>
Connection to 10.144.8.9 closed by remote host.
Burning flash may take several minutes......done
IPSI Firmware Download: 10.144.8.9(ipsi-A01a) All done: SUCCESS.
2) Once you have uploaded the file on IPSI, reset the IPSI board.
Syntax : resetipsi -c IPSILOC
server1> resetipsi -c 1a
IPSI reset: IPSI: ipsi-A01a, IP: 10.144.8.9 Successfully reset .
Note :If you have duplicated IPSI's, and when you are upgrading firmware on active IPSI, interchange the IPSI on SAT terminal through "set ipserver-interface board location of new active IPSI".
