EE to overhaul its stores by October 30, 4G coming to 16 cities by year’s end
The merger between Orange and T-Mobile UK is almost complete, with the new Everything Everywhere brand and its oft-lauded 4G service set to launch on October 30. As part of the rebranding process, EE also plans to redesign its outlets across the country.
It’s not going to be an easy task giving the 700 stores a whole new look, while removing any traces of their past. A spokesman of the company revealed to Mobile News that it’ll involve more than just adding EE logo. And what’s more, the company is aiming to complete the redesigning process by October 30.
By the time the makeover is completed, UK customers should have an enjoyable mobile shopping experience where refreshments are aplenty and WiFi is free, but these will likely apply only to the some of the bigger stores.
There will also be no confusion telling which phone belongs to which camp as the display of the phones will be divided by the OS that they run.
As listed on EE’s website, their 4G service is expected to go live on ten cities at the end of the month, which include Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Sheffield. The high-speed network will come to Belfast, Derby, Hull, Nottingham, Newcastle, and Southampton by the end of the year.
