GooPad mini unveiled, ‘every inch’ a $99 Jelly Bean-running iPad mini clone

GooPad mini unveiled, ‘every inch’ a $99 Jelly Bean-running iPad mini clone

Remember the GooPhone i5, that iPhone 5 clone that showed up before Apple unveiled its sixth–generation iPhone? Well, it looks like the same Chinese “creators” are ready to launch the GooPad mini, now that the iPad mini became official – unless it’s all an online hoax, of course.
“Every inch a GooPad mini,” the device carries a $99 price tag and is set to launch at some point in November.
Just like the GooPhone, the GooPad mini will run Android – in fact you’ll find Jelly Bean on board the tablet, with the iOS-like iLaunch theme on top.
Yes, the GooPad mini will be an exact copy of the iPad mini, although it won’t feature the same exact internal components as Apple’s new tablet. We’re looking at a 7.9-inch display with 1024 x 768 resolution, 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 2-megapixel rear camera and 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera and Wi-Fi support.
From the looks of it, the GooPad mini may have a fighting chance against budget Android tablets out there, but it’s not known yet in what markets the knock-off will be launched.
