Wouldn’t it be nice to actually have an event in the electronics world be kept fully secret for once? Then again, what fun would that be? We already seem to know a great deal about the Nexus 4 and the rumored release of Android 4.2. Now we even have an FCC filing that gives away the possible existence of a Asus Nexus 7 3G. At this rate, there won’t be too many surprises left for Google’s upcoming October 29th Android event.
The filing is for a ME370TG tablet, which is the exact same model number as the standard Nexus 7, with the exception of a “G” tacked on. The “G” obviously seems to stand for its 3G connectivity abilities.
What else do we know about this possible Asus Nexus 7 3G variant? Not a whole lot. Storage sizes and other possible changes remain a mystery. We can’t even say for sure whether or not Google plans on this being part of their event on October 29th. We do know that the Nexus 7 is an extraordinarily popular tablet and the addition of 3G could add even more excitement for the flagship Google tablet.
What do you think, would you be interested in getting your hands on a 3G Nexus 7?
